Conferences for digital and tech geeks

Posted on 2013/09/26

This autumn is full of many events dedicated to digital media, apps and IT development. So we want to share insight about the best events still to come this year for digital and IT geeks, and for people who are willing to meet new startups.

Speaking of events, many have been and gone so far this year: IDCEE in Kiev, Techcrunch Disrupt Europe in Berlin and many others. Many events specifically for IT development and startups were held in the USA and you can find many of them published here.

The great thing about this is that startups regularly make guest appearances at these sorts of conferences. Attention is given to new, quickly growing and untraditional companies that have found their place under the spotlight and these sorts of companies are welcome at many global events.

Because of the huge variety of conferences it is really hard to choose the valuable ones. It is important to keep in mind that not all events are specialized, because some of it can be only a very good marketing campaign. However, these non-specialized events may not always be a place for improving your professional skills or inspiration.

Events still to come:

15-17 October: Digital Pulse 2013, Boston, - this conference will discuss and analyze how to deal with the transition from web content to customer experience.

30 October - 1 November: Web summit, Dublin, - this is an amazing event that gathers the world’s leading thinkers and doers in technology and one of the biggest events for startupers.

6-7 November: Topconf Tallinn 2013, Talin, - this is a conference designed for Developers, Product owners / managers, Architects, Project Managers, Methods- and Process-Experts.

6-8 November: ICT 2013: Create, Connect, Grow, Vilnius, - a conference for researchers and developers that focus on innovation.
